Discord · Announcements & Spotlight

Your Discord knows the moment you go live

Rich go-live announcements post themselves the second your Kick, Twitch, or Rumble stream starts, and Spotlight lets your community push their best memes from Discord onto your stream, with you holding the approve button.

Two-way street

Stream to Discord. Discord to stream.

Announcements pull your community in when you start. Spotlight lets them take part while you're live.

Go-live posts that clean up after themselves

A branded embed with your title, category, a live screenshot, and a "Watch on Kick" button, posted automatically with your choice of @everyone, @here, a role ping, or no ping. When you end, the same message updates itself with duration and peak viewers.

  • Custom message templates with {streamer}, {title}, {category}…
  • Edits in place on stream end, or deletes, your call
  • Flap protection so a quick reconnect doesn't post twice

Spotlight: chat's memes, on stream

Your community star-reacts a message in Discord; when it hits the reaction threshold, it lands in your review queue. Approve it and the image, GIF, or clip animates onto your overlay with its reaction count. Or run auto mode and let the votes decide.

Media that doesn't break

Images, GIFs, and videos are re-hosted the moment they qualify, so a deleted Discord message can't leave a broken card on stream. YouTube links play embedded.

Guardrails built in

Limit Spotlight to specific channels, skip NSFW channels automatically, require a minimum account age, and optionally require a role on the message author.

New clips, posted for you

Every clip made with !clip drops into Discord as a rich embed with a Watch button. Pick the channel, filter by platform, set a minimum length and a cooldown, and fire a test whenever you like.

No bot hosting, minimal permissions

Invite the shared Ramlabs bot and link your server. It asks for the barest permission set, and requests more only when a feature actually needs it.

FAQ

Discord questions

How do Discord go-live announcements work?

When your Kick, Twitch, or Rumble stream starts, the bot posts a rich embed to your chosen channel (title, category, a live screenshot, and a watch button), with @everyone, @here, a role ping, or no ping at all. A flap guard stops reconnects from double-posting.

What happens to the announcement when I end stream?

The same message updates itself: live badge off, stream duration and peak viewers on, with an optional VOD button. Prefer a clean channel? Set it to delete instead.

Can Discord announce my clips?

Yes. Every clip made with !clip posts to a channel you choose as a rich embed with a Watch button, a custom message template, and the clipper and duration shown. Filter by platform, set a minimum length and a per-clip cooldown, and send a test from the dashboard.

What is Spotlight?

Community-curated stream content. When a Discord message collects enough of your chosen reaction (say, three ⭐), it lands in your review queue. Approve it and the media appears on your overlay with its reaction count. An auto mode can skip the queue.

Can I control what reaches my stream?

Yes, restrict Spotlight to specific channels, skip NSFW channels, require a minimum Discord account age, optionally require a role on the message author, and keep the default review queue so nothing airs without a yes.

What media does Spotlight support?

Images, GIFs (including Tenor), and video attachments, re-hosted the moment they qualify so deleted messages can't break the overlay, plus YouTube links played as embeds, and text-only cards if you allow them.

Do I have to host the Discord bot myself?

No. You invite the shared Ramlabs bot and link your server from the dashboard. It requests a minimal permission set and asks for more only when a feature needs it.
